Now...Widespread snow shower activity will continue across the Tennessee border counties of the North Carolina mountains through the morning hours. The heaviest snowfall rates will occur through 8 am this morning...With local one half to one inch per hour rates possible. The snowfall intensity will then very slowly diminish through noon. Wind gusts of 25 mph can be expected as well...With a few gusts of 30 to 40 mph possible along the higher ridge tops.
