Now...Patchy dense fog has formed across the sacramento and san joaquin valleys and in the delta this morning. Generally...Visibilities in the affected areas range from 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile...But around sacramento international airport visibility is down to 1/8 mile. The densest fog will be encountered in low lying areas and near stream beds and other bodies of water. A dense fog advisory is in effect for the southern sacramento valley. People traveling this morning should be prepared to encounter areas of very low visibility suddenly. Slow down a bit and use your low beam headlights this morning.
