Now...Areas of showers and embedded thunderstorms will continue through early morning mainly across the eastern half of north Texas. Moderate to heavy rainfall and occasional lightning can be expected with these storms. Farther west...Areas of light to moderate rain will move into the region and affect areas generally west of i-35 through early morning. A strong surface low pressure system located east of waco will continue to move northeast through morning. Strong northwest winds will follow behind the low pressure system with temperatures falling into the 30s. Through mid morning...Rain will transition to snow across the northwestern parts of north Texas. Winds of 25 to 35 mph will result in blowing snow across north Texas during the morning hours.
