Now...Precipitation will continue to spread into the green mountains and eastern Vermont this afternoon. At 230 pm...National weather service doppler radar indicated an area of light to moderate precipitation over portions of central Vermont...From hanksville to rochester to rutland...Moving north. Temperatures in this area are generally below freezing...Especially the sheltered valleys along and east of the greens. This means the precipitation will mainly fall as freezing rain and sleet...With the warmer locations seeing plain rain. Light ice accumulations are possible along and east of the green mountains in Vermont this afternoon. Area roadways could quickly become slick...Especially bridges and back roads. Motorists are urged to use caution when driving. Slow down...And leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you.
