Now...At 7 am...The back edge of an area of rain and drizzle was located roughly along highway 281 with the most significant rainfall occurring across cameron county. Through 9 am this area of precipitation will continue to pull east across the rio grande valley. Hourly rainfall amounts will range from a few hundredths of an inch across much of the eastern third of deep south Texas...With the only exception being across the eastern half of cameron county where an additional 1/10 of an inch of rainfall May occur. Motorists this morning are encouraged to slow down and use enhanced caution when traveling as area roadways remain slick with ponding of water persisting in many locations.
