Now...At 6 pm...Radar showed a band of showers extending north to south from near bughill in columbus county north to atkinson in pender county. This band of showers will produce periods of very heavy rain and gusty winds as it moves toward the coast through 8 pm. The heaviest rain will move from near bolton and east arcadia east toward Sandy Creek to Long Creek to burgaw through 7 pm. You can expect ponding of water on the roadways as these showers move through. Communities in the path of these storms are ash...Bethel...
