The national weather service doppler radar indicates an area of light to moderate precipitation moving into central Vermont...From ripton to hanksville...Moving east northeast. Temperatures in this area area generally at Or below the freezing level...Especially in sheltered valleys along and east of the greens. This means precipitation will generally fall as freezing rain and sleet this evening...Though warmer areas will see sleet and plain rain. Ice accumulation is possible along and east of the green mountains in Vermont this evening. Area roadways could quickly become slick...Especially on bridges and back roads. Motorists are urged to use caution when driving. Slow down and leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you.
