At 730 pm radar showed the heaviest rain running in a line from just east of maple hill in pender county to near castle hayne in new hanover county. The back edge of the very heavy rain will continue to head east reaching the coast through 9 pm...Leaving only a few lingering spots of lighter rain to follow through this evening. You can expect ponding of water on the roadways as this heavy rain moves through. Communities that will be affected include carolina beach...Long beach...Masonboro...Myrtle grove...Oak island...Ogden...
