Now...At 1:23 pm...National weather service radars detected scattered showers and thunderstorms located along the interstate 44 corridor. A strong thunderstorm was moving through Northwest Creek county it was part of a line of showers that was forming from copan to okemah. Movement of these storms continues northeast at 30 mph. Brief heavy rain and small hail will accompany the strongest storms. An additional area of showers was also present over parts of northwest and north central Arkansas. Through 2:30 pm...Numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue across portions of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas...Primarily east of a line from copan to hugo. Thunderstorm coverage will increase across far eastern Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas. Strong to possibly severe storms will remain possible through the morning hours.
