Now...The short term forecast for the genesee valley and northern finger lakes. Multiple bands of lake effect snow will continue early this morning across the region. Most of the snow will be light in nature through 9 am with a fresh coating in some areas. Some more persistent snow near lake Ontario and over eastern wayne and northern cayuga counties could accumulate an inch or so through 9 am and create slippery spots on untreated roads.
