Now...At 815 pm hst...Radar showed widespread moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms with locally heavy downpours continuing to move rapidly toward the south southwest at 20 mph across the windward coastal waters and windward sections of molokai... Maui...And the big island. The heaviest downpours will likely cause local ponding of water on roadways and in poor drainage areas...Along with reduced visibilities. Some frozen precipitation is also possible on the summits of the big island and mount haleakala. These conditions can make driving difficult...So please use extra caution when driving this evening. These showers will likely continue through the remainder of tonight.
