Now...A large area of moderate to heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms will continue to affect the eastern half of mainland south Florida through 930 am est. This activity will be most concentrated in the region to the east of highway 27...Across metropolitan broward and miami-dade counties...With additional lighter shower activity expected to continue across palm beach county as well. Wind gusts from 20 to 25 mph...Occasional cloud to ground lightning strikes...And torrential downpours...Producing rainfall rates between one quarter and one half of an inch per hour...Can be expected with this activity. All showers and storms will spread north- northeastward around 10 mph.
