A thick blanket of dense fog is overspreading western and northwestern Minnesota...If you are traveling that way be prepared to slow down. The rain keeps moving north across eastern Nebraska...Iowa...And southeastern South Dakota into and across southern and eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin...Then into Canada...With no end in sight. Thunder and lightning were occurring earlier this morning...In south central Minnesota and it has since ended. A widespread tenth of an inch is expected over most of the southeast half of Minnesota and western west central Wisconsin. Up to a half inch could fall overnight around fairmont...St james... New ulm...Springfield...Windom and worthington.
