At 830 am, a narrow band of lake effect snow stretched from the eastern end of lake erie, northeast into northern erie, niagara, orleans and genesee counties. Some of the cities and towns being effected by the heaviest activity included, the city of buffalo, kenmore, tonawanda, amherst, clarence and lockport, where you can expect to encounter, light to moderate snow and or snow grains, and visibility reduced to 1/2 mile or less at Times. Watch for slippery conditions on any untreated surfaces. This band is forecast to remain nearly stationary, or oscillate a few miles north or south through 930 am.
