Now...At 455 pm...National weather service radar showed an organized band of snow showers has exited the champlain valley but was moving southeast down the interstate 89 corridor across richmond...Waterbury...Montpelier and likely to affect northfield and bethel through 7 pm. This band has and will be capable of quickly depositing an inch of snow and making roads very treacherous. Elsewhere...Widely scattered snow showers will affect portions of Vermont with less than an inch accumulation expected. Again...Roads May become slick in spots through the early evening rush hour...With motorists advised to use caution and adjust speeds accordingly.
