Now...Moderate rain continues to move northward across southwest Mississippi...The Florida parishes...And the baton rouge area. Within this broad area of moderate rain...A band of heavier rain producing rainfall of around one inch per hour has developed over pointe coupee and west feliciana parishes in Louisiana and wilkinson and amite counties in Mississippi. This band of heavier rain should continue to move north into central Mississippi over the next couple of hours. Rainfall amounts of one half to three quarters of an inch per hour can be expected in the areas of moderate rainfall. The moderate rain should continue through the early morning hours before tapering off. Some ponding of water on roads will be possible in area of heavier rain.
