Now...Winter storm warning in effect until 6 am est Sunday... Moderate to heavy snow will continue across the greater Washington DC and baltimore metropolitan areas during the early morning. A heavy band of snow from northern loudoun county to howard county will slowly lift northward into northern Maryland through 6 am. Snowfall amounts of one to two inches per hour are likely within this heavy band. Outside of this band...Snowfall amounts of one half to inch per hour can be expected.
