Now...Through 9 am...Areas of fog...Some dense...Will persist thru mid morning. The fog will gradually burn off as a cool front and associated showers pushes through the area from the north. Motorists should allow plenty of room between vehicles and expect sudden changes of visibility. Stronger showers and thunderstorms can be expected along and south of interstate 10 and offshore. Brief wind gusts to 40 mph...Rain rates to 1.5 inches per hour and small hail are possible in the strongest cells. Mariners can expect winds and seas to be higher in and near storms.
