Light to moderate snow showers will become more widespread over extreme western portions of highland and pendleton counties this evening...With snow amounts of up to one half inch expected by 1000 pm est. For the central and eastern portions of the counties...Scattered snow flurries will continue...With little or no accumulation. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected..With gusts to 40 mph over the highest terrain. Temperatures will continue to fall through the 20s...With teens in the higher elevations. Wind chills will be in the single digits. Heavier snowfall is expected to begin later tonight. Use caution while driving through the higher elevation area with gusty winds and blowing snow reducing visibilities in localized areas.
