Now...Isolated showers and possibly a brief thunderstorm will form across the metro areas of broward and miami-dade counties through late afternoon. These showers or storms will move northeast quickly and offshore into the atlantic waters and biscayne bay. Brief periods of heavy rainfall and an occasional lightning strike May be possible as these showers intensify. Mariners should also prepare for locally gusty winds to 25 knots.
