Now...Look for strong westerly winds to persist in the davis mountains through this afternoon...But mainly above 6000 feet. Wind speeds of 35 to 45 mph...And gusts around 60 mph...Will be common during this time. Motorists traveling through the davis mountains on highways 118 and 166 this morning should exercise caution as sudden wind gusts could affect these roadways. A high wind warning is in effect until 3 pm cst.
