Now...Scattered showers will continue to move northeast near 25 mph across portions of southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi. These showers are capable of producing rainfall rates from one half inch to one inch per hour resulting in ponding of water on roadways. The line of heaviest rainfall extends from saint john the baptist parish to lake pontchartrain to the Mississippi gulf coast.
