Now...The short term forecast for western New York. Mainly light snow showers will continue across much of the region this morning. Somewhat heavier activity can be expected across the traditional snowbelts, and also over the northern sections of niagara and orleans counties, where visibility could be reduced to 1 mile or less at Times, and snowfall accumulations of up to 1/2 inch are possible through 9 am. Elsewhere, little or no snow accumulations are anticipated. Be alert for slippery spots on any untreated surfaces. Wind chill readings will be in the single digits, so dress accordingly if you venture out this morning.
