Now...Scattered to numerous showers exist across southern and central Mississippi. These showers will move off to the northeast at 35mph ahead of a warm front that will switch winds from the south. Winds will be gusty at Times with winds speeds up to 25 to 30 mph. Rainfall rates will be between one tenth and one quarter of an inch per hour. Additional development of showers and thunderstorms will occur this afternoon. Some storms are expected to be come strong and severe.
