Now...Two areas of rain are currently ongoing across the four state region. The first is a large area of rain and showers that extends along and east of a line from near hope and magnolia Arkansas to near minden and the toledo bend reservoir. Periods of moderate rain were ongoing from near the toledo bend reservoir onto near arcadia and east to near monroe Louisiana. This activity was moving to the northeast near 40 mph. The second area was starting to produce a few lightning strikes and was located mainly to the west of a line from centerville and mount enterprise onto near texarkana Texas. This activity was moving northeast near 40 mph and could contain brief periods of moderate to heavy downpours and some small hail through the night. Look for thunderstorms to increase in coverage and intensity... Initially across northeast Texas and eventually across southwest Arkansas and northern Louisiana through the night.
