Now...Light rain continues to fall across most of southwest Alabama and northwest Florida this evening. However...On the back side of the precipitation a transition to light snow is occurring across southeast Mississippi and interior portion of southwest Alabama. Reports now indicate that one half to one inch of snow has accumulated in perry county in southeast Mississippi mainly on grassy areas. A winter weather advisory remains in effect tonight for portions of southeast Mississippi and interior southwest Alabama for the possibility of one to two inches of snow in the advisory area. Outside of the advisory area...A cold light rain will continue through much of the night and could mix with sleet and snow at Times before ending Saturday morning. No significant accumulations are expected outside of the winter weather advisory area.
