Now...Scattered light precipitation will continue across the green mountains and eastern Vermont through 230 pm. At 1230 pm...The heaviest activity was located across northern Vermont and was moving northward. However...A large area of light to moderate precipitation was moving northeast across northern New York...And will enter central Vermont by 200 pm. Temperatures are currently below freezing in many locations...And as such precipitation will fall as a mix of freezing rain and sleet with perhaps a little snow. The sheltered valleys east of the green mountains stand the best chance of seeing any freezing rain this afternoon. Minor ice accumulations will be possible during the mid and late afternoon in the green mountains and eastern Vermont. Motorists should use caution as roadways could quickly become slick. Slow down...And leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you.
