Now...The short term forecast for western New York. Snow will continue over most of the area. The heaviest will stay over the southern tier where up to a half inch per hour of additional accumulation is possible, especially between dunkirk and machias. Mainly light snow will continue in the northtowns. Through 4 pm from the buffalo area north additional snowfall amounts will range from a trace to 2 or 3 tenths of an inch in the most persistent snow.
