Now...Through 1030 pm...Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect the eastern metro and coastal areas of mainland south Florida. Wind gusts from 25 to 35 mph...Occasional cloud to ground lightning strikes...And torrential downpours...Producing rainfall rates between two to three inches per hour...Can be expected with this activity. Rainfall rates of this magnitude will result in significant ponding of water and minor flooding on roadways and in flood prone areas. All showers and storms will move generally northwestward at 5 to 10 mph.
