Now...Flood watch in effect through late tonight... Bands of moderate rain will move northeast across the central foothills...Northern Virginia...The northern piedmont and the Washington DC metro area through this afternoon. Heavier rain May LEAD to minor flooding of small creeks...Streams and roadways where poor drainage exists as a result of remaining snow pack. Low clouds and fog also will become abundant...Especially at Higher elevations or locations between rain bands. Visibilities May be reduced to less than one-half mile at Times. Rain will become more widespread this evening as an upper level system moves closer.
