Now...Areas of snow and blowing snow will continue across the eastern parts of the Texas panhandle through the early afternoon hours. Through 3 pm...The communities of clarendon...Mclean...Wheeler and wellington will continue to see areas with reduced visibilities through the afternoon due to blowing snow. North winds above 30 mph will create low wind chill values over much of the area. Travel will be dangerous along the i-40 and rt 287 corridors in the eastern Texas panhandle yet this afternoon. This includes wheeler...Donley...Gray...And collingsworth counties. Currently...A blizzard warning is in effect for the southeast portion of the Texas panhandle through 6 pm today. Also...A wind advisory is in effect for the Oklahoma panhandle and most of the rest of Texas panhandle until 6 pm. Motorists are urged to use caution if travel is necessary.
