Regional Weather Discussion...Early Wednesday morning... Strong north winds were continuing to gust 25 to 35 mph across much of Oklahoma and western north Texas. Temperatures ranged from the teens across northern Oklahoma to the 20s over southern Oklahoma and western north Texas. The brisk winds were combining with the cold temperatures to produce sub-zero wind chills in northern Oklahoma. Wind chills were generally in the single digits teens over the remainder of the area. The frigid air was spreading into the southern plains behind a cold front that extended across far southeast Oklahoma into north central Texas. Temperatures will continue to fall overnight with lows ranging from the single digits across northwest Oklahoma... To the lower 20s across parts of western north Texas and far southeast Oklahoma. If you have to be out tonight and early Wednesday... Be sure to dress in layers and wear a hat and gloves. It would also be a good idea to make sure pets are sheltered.
