Regional Weather Discussion...Snow will continue to move northeast and overspread a larger part of Oklahoma through early evening. As of 4 pm... Snow had made it as far north as norman and parts of the Oklahoma city area. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s in most areas before the precipitation begins... And so the snow May begin as light rain or a mix of light rain and snow. But once precipitation starts... Temperatures will fall back into the lower 30s and all precipitation will change over to snow. In the areas of moderate snow... Visibility reductions will be seen and light accumulations on grassy and elevated surfaces May occur fairly quickly. Some bridges and overpasses May become slick. By 6 pm... The main snow area is expected to spread north across much of the rest of northwestern and north central Oklahoma. Travel in the rush hour will likely experience deteriorating conditions... Mainly on bridges and overpasses. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Snow will likely taper off by early evening in southwestern Oklahoma and western north Texas. Radar at 4 pm showed the back edge of the main snow area roughly from amarillo to vernon to seymour in northwestern Texas. As the back edge continues northeast... Steadier and heavier snow will taper off to flurries.
