Now...The short term forecast for the niagara frontier. Narrow bands of lake effect snow showers will continue through late evening across portions of the niagara frontier. One area of snow showers will continue to focus from northeast niagara county into much of orleans and genesee county. Another area of snow showers will persist across southern erie and Wyoming counties. Additional snowfall accumulations of around an inch through 11 pm are possible in the most persistent snows. Northwest winds gusting to 35 mph will also produce blowing and drifting snow...Especially in open areas. The corridor from niagara falls to metro buffalo will remain mainly snow free through late evening.
