Now...The short term forecast for the eastern lake Ontario region. Bands of light to moderate lake effect snow showers will continue across portions of oswego county this morning, mainly from a selkirk to central square line westward, where the heaviest and most persistent activity will likely be found. Visibility May be reduced at Times to 1/2 of a mile or less, along with snowfall rates of an inch or so per hour possible. Be on the alert for snow covered and slippery roadways, and allow some extra time to reach your destination if you will be traveling through the lake effect area. This area is forecast to remain nearly stationary through 11 am.
