Now...The short term forecast for western New York. At 615 am the trailing edge of the heavy snow extended from batavia to just sout of buffalo, to dunkirk. The snow will continue to move steadily southeast and should clear all of western New York except cattaraugus and alleghany counties by 8. Those counties should be snow free by 9. Total accumulations will range from 2 to 3 inches north of buffalo and batavia, to 5 to 7 inches south.
