Now...The short term forecast for the eastern lake Ontario region. Lake effect snow will continue off lake Ontario late this afternoon and into the evening hours. At 440 pm the disorganized band was situated from near nine mile point...Central square...And port leyden on the southern side and from near henderson harbor...Barnes corners...Martinsburg on the northern side. A few flurries were found elsewhere. This band will produce snowfall rates of around an half inch per hour in the more persistent bands. Motorists should be aware for any rapid changes in visibilities and road conditions. This band will continue to slowly slide northward into the early evening hours.
