Now...The short term forecast for the western southern tier. Occasional rain and snow will continue through the late afternoon across much of the southern tier. Precipitation will fall primarily as wet snow across the higher terrain where additional accumulations of a coating to a half inch are possible through 6 pm. The snow will mainly stick to grassy surfaces...But a few slippery spots May develop on untreated roads across higher terrain after sunset.
