Now...The short term forecast for western New York. Mainly light snow, possibly mixed with rain in some spots, is forecast to continue across much of the region this morning. Somewhat heavier and more persistent activity will be found across the southern tier counties, where occasionally moderate snow will be on tap. Visibility will be reduced at Times to 1 mile or less, especially over the higher elevations. Across the entire region, watch for slippery conditions on any untreated surfaces. Most areas can expect a dusting of snow through 12 pm, with some locally higher amounts where any moderate snow activity occurs.
