Now...Bitter cold...Frigid wind chills...And blowing snow...Will define much of the morning for south central Nebraska and north central Kansas. North to northwest winds will be the strongest along and east of highway 281...With gusts to 35 mph through 8 am or so. Wind speeds will be slightly lower further west...But still up to 25 mph at Times. Wind chills will be as low as 25 below zero. The blowing snow will still be widespread...But visibilities will continue to improve with time. There will be areas of visibilities as low as 1 or 2 miles at Times. We should expect the blowing snow to gradually taper off from west to east...And see some fairly big improvement in that situation for areas east of highway 281 by late morning.
