Now...Life threatening blizzard conditions will persist across eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa through the remainder of the night. Moderate to occasionally heavy snow will continue with strong northwest winds gusting to around 50 mph producing blowing and drifting snow with visibility reduced to zero in open areas. Roads and highways are reported to be impassable in some parts of southeast Nebraska to southwest Iowa. Travel is not advised this morning. A blizzard warning remains in effect for much of the area.
