At 7 am...The band of moderate rain extended from the North Carolina mountains to across the greenville...Spartanburg metro area. A near break in the rain is now moving up from Georgia where only patchy light rain will occur. The next area of moderate to heavy rain with the eventual potential for thunderstorms in the piedmont will arrive from locations south of atlanta by this afternoon.
