Now...Through 1000 pm cst...Widespread light to moderate snow will continue to move northeastward across portions of south central and southeast Mississippi. Brief bursts of heavy snow will also be possible. The heaviest and most persistent bands of snow will be along and south of the highway 84 corridor. Snowfall rates of one-quarter to one-half inch per hour are expected. Some rain will mix with the snow over southeast Mississippi. Most of the snow will accumulate on grassy and elevated surfaces...Though slush on roadways could make for hazardous travel conditions...Especially on bridges and overpasses. Visibilities could be reduced to less than 2 miles in the snow.
