Now...Winter weather advisory in effect until 9 pm est this evening... Snow will continue to taper off through 8 pm as the back edge of precipitation progresses eastward across the Washington DC and baltimore metro areas. However...A brief period of heavier snow is possible to the east of the cities. Additional accumulations of less than an inch is expected across these locations. Temperatures will remain in the lower 30s.
