Now...Through 5 pm...A broad area of light to moderate shower activity will continue to move northeastward over portions of eastern Louisiana as well as southern and southeastern Mississippi. Rainfall rates south of the interstate 20 corridor will range between a tenth to a quarter inch per hour. Higher rates of up to a half inch per hour will also be possible later this afternoon. These showers are expected to continue through the afternoon and into the evening and overnight hours.
