Now...Areas of dense fog will persist this morning...Especially south and west of the chicago area. Visibilities will range from as low as a quarter of a mile or less across these areas...To a few miles over chicago and the northern suburbs. Fog will gradually thin through the mid morning hours. If traveling across the area this morning...Be prepared for rapid changes in visibility. Use low beam headlights.
