Now...Widespread light snow and sleet over the mountains and nearby foothills of the carolinas and northeast Georgia will transition to a light mixture and then to a cold rain in the early morning hours. Roads will be slick where the heaviest accumulations of snow and sleet occurred. The precipitation will become more scattered across the southern mountains later in the morning.
