Now...Showers with gusty winds through 600 am ... A developing storm system over the gulf of mexico will push east- northeast overnight. Numerous showers will develop across central Florida ahead of the approaching system. Some of these showers will generate brief periods of very heavy rain and strong wind gusts up to 40 mph...Especially over the coastal counties. General rainfall amounts between one half and one inch can be expected...With local amounts between two and three inches possible. Minor wind damage will be possible with some of the stronger cells.
