Now...As of 730 pm...A band of moderate to locally heavy precipitation extending from the coastal range southeastward through the central sacramento valley and towards the northern sierra will continue to spread northward over the next few hours. Snow can be expected at Elevations above 5500 ft...Although some of the colder mountain basins such as Burney Basin May also see snow mixed with sleet. Heavier showers embedded in this band will locally reduce visibilities down to a half mile at Times...And will likely cause ponding of water on the roadways. Motorists are urged to slow down and leave plenty of space between the cars as conditions along area interstates...Highways and roadways will be slick.
