Now...Scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms will affect the central san joaquin valley through 800 pm this evening. At 600 pm...An area of thunderstorms was moving south just east of interstate 5 in merced county and will affect areas from around los banos to dos palos. These storms May produce brief heavy rainfall...Gusty winds...Small hail...And occasional lightning strikes. Elsewhere in the valley...Scattered light showers will create slippery road conditions.
